Create a compelling Chinese New Year story, reminding people to connect to what matters most.

Solution
Where people make fun of the “grandfather stories” that they have to endure during family visits, we remind them that it is in these stories that we find our family heritage. And if we don’t keep them alive, one day they will be gone forever. The film focuses on family nicknames. They seem frivolous, sometimes silly, but in actual fact have meaning and is special to each individual.

每逢农历新年,马来西亚的华人都会期待各商家所推出的新春广告。随着网络短片的普遍,竞争也越来越激烈。2019年的新春,Digi电信想传达正面的讯息。他们想透过新春广告更进一步拉近中低端群体的距离,同时为华人社群带来更有意义的祝福。

新年期间,马来西亚的华人几乎都会纷纷回家乡跟家人团聚。然而,我们生活在科技发达的时代,即使彼此相聚,但都手不离机,缺乏交流。其实,家家户户的先辈们都各有很多精彩的故事,如果没有保留,这些感人的故事将会失传了。所以,我们特别创制了一则感人的故事,希望透过动听歌曲及精彩故事启发群众,让他们自己去发掘家人的古早故事。
